This is the type of wine I really enjoy. Earthy, not too dry, not sweet. A little dry, but not to make you pucker, medium tannins, NOT fruit forward (thank god). It tastes like an Italian red wine. Served it with a bolognese-ish pasta. Worked well, very enjoyable. Sangiovese, merlot and petit verdot.

Sangiovese, merlot and petit Verdot blend. Had the 2019 in July of 2022. Hints of cherry and a lot of tannins. The oak was very subtle in this one which made it a very dry wine. I enjoyed it with cheese and meat but not as much with a marinara sauce. This one was more in my wheelhouse than my husbands. Was good but probably would let it open up a bit more before diving in next time.
