Blend of mostlyTempranillo with a splash of Graciano, deep Ruby with dark edges, aromas of berry fruit, complex spice, oak with earthy notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry fruits with cacao, licorice, cinnamon and pepper spice. Fine approachable tannins, good balance, long finish ending with fruit, oak and spice. Very Nice. Consistent quality.

12/20/2023: picking up my wine journey again with my husband. We enjoyed this Herederos del Marques de Riscal with sharp cheddar cheese. Smells like oak and tastes like dark fruits.

Different than the other vintages I’ve tried … reminds me a lot of Muga. 92.

A solid wine with a distinct aftertaste. Definitely hints of black cherry with earthy notes. A bit overpowering with food but delicious with a dark chocolate.

Paid $18 for a bottle in Florida. Brought it to Daria‘s for dinner. It was OK, not as good as the Cáceres. Would try something else before getting this again.
