Martin Müllen
Kröver Paradies Spätlese Trocken Mosel Riesling
What a nose. It pops. Big peach and apricot and that purest citrusy syrup dash of honey thing. Really singing. Slate in the background but beautiful and clean fruit. Floral and almost a nougat element as well. Stunning. Palate is at once opulent and also bone dry with razor sharp 2008 acidity and cleansing minerality and citrus on the finish which really is long and delineated. This is outrageous now.

Sep 15th, 2018I hardly know what to say. It's a perfect wine. Texture, aroma,
Flavor. It's all in a glorious place. Here Müllen is a genius, and a very nice man besides.

This is a restrained and elegant Riesling. I didn't take notes on night one... too hectic. But on night 2 this was actually a bit more complex and together. Nose shows beautiful honeyed peach (must have been some botrytis) and a bit of slate. Rich and minerally in the mouth. Long finish. The richness almost hides that it's dry.

1 person found it helpfulAug 20th, 201608 Mosel is the classic "I wish I bought more" vintage. Nose of lemon, cream, slate, kumquat, bitter citrus and green apple skins. Terrific palate that cuts like a razor with citrus fruits, minerals and brilliant acidity. Very juicy and lean. Needs a few hours to flesh out but man what a wine. Super mineral slathered finish.

Mar 1st, 2017What a value. Peach, petroleum, so clean and fresh. Palate is a basket of fruit and minerals. Apricot, peach, red apple skin, but awash in minerals and very juicy and clean and long. Perfect July 3rd wine.
