Napa Valley Red Blend

Mostly merlot with about 33 percent cab. Had some of the distinctive notes of their merlot but balanced nicely by the other Bordeaux grapes in the mix.

Elegant and old school.

My newest addition the dog not the wine. Ralphie named after the kid in a "Christmas Story" anyway oh yeah the wine, a mainstay of mine, Matthiason red blend, wonderful in color, acid and fruit balance.

Always a great wine. Lovely light integrated oak.

55% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec & 13.9% EtOH

Matthiasson’s version of a classic balanced and age-worthy red wine. A strong trademark structure for aging, this wine is held for an additional three years in bottle before being released.

Brilliant garnet colored wine with pale red rim, fast forming legs

Notes of cedar, tobacco, graphite, pomegranate, raspberry, blackberry, menthol, black cherry, black currant, black plum, smooth tannins, medium acidity, fruit forward. Great age ability.

Always delicious and an absolute crowd pleaser.

55 percent Merlot, 32 percent Cab, 7 percent Cab Franc, 5 percent Petit Verdot, 1 percent Malbec. Beautiful fragrance. Tannins in Cab have mellowed so great balance. Maybe the best blend we have had. April 2020.
