Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits with spice and oaky notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with licorice and toasty cacao. Tannins are firm, grippy and harsh, medium finish ending tannic with fruit and spice. Pass not worth the price tag.

Smooth as a thick silk scarf and loaded with cassis and black fruit. Not near as complex as the Jumping Goat we had but a strong effort and so easy to drink.

Tannins are a bit rustic, long finish ending with fruit and toasty spice. Give this a few years.

The CJ isn’t up to my Melka expectation, it is a lower cost product, but it is ok at 10 years old. It did take awhile to open up.

2015 melka- lots of sweet fragrant fruits on this one. Smell that is. I was actually afraid this one was going to be super fruity but it isn’t. Quite balanced There is a tiny bit of darkness to this one but not a lot. 9.0+ $75
