Rich, elegant, beautiful. Not heavy or overly ripe and rich like other Cali pinots can be. Recommended.

What a difference a year makes. The 2013 incarnation of Melville's Block M is still an excellent wine, but pales in comparison to the 2012. Still has all of the same basic characteristics you expect from Melville - great strawberry, a bit more acidity than what you find for most CA pinots yet perfectly in balance - but the 2013 lacks the depth of the 2012. Probably due in part to the extra year in bottle for the 2012, but only in part: the 2012 is a superior wine. Still, this is a terrific offering from Melville that will likely improve with an additional year or two in bottle.

Melville pepper component in full effect. Probably should have given this bottle more time. Full bodied, quality oak influence, and classic Pinot notes

Absolutely delicious but I may have opened it a few years too soon. I think the estate may be better for the money though.
