Silver Unoaked Monterey County Chardonnay

Friday night and tonight's wine is a gift from a family member the 2015 Mer Soleil Unoaked Chadonnay from Monterey County California.

On the nose there is lemon meringue, apricot, pear, jackfruit, jasmine and lemon balm.

On the palate there is lemon zest, lemon, pear, honeysuckle, spice, minerality, a bit of saline and wet flint rock.

This wine is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel with medium + acidity that moves right into a long clean citrus finish. Have a great weekend and please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂

Normally I prefer an unoaked Chard. This was too sweet and one-note for my taste.

Tried a sample at a wine tasting bar in store. Very pleasant - not aged in oak which I prefer.

Oh gross. Plastic smell, tasted burnt

Nice crisp chard characteristic of unoaked chards. Light fruit flavors with a tad of a sharp finish.

Obvi no oak and still has nice depth and body
