Lovely creamy pear notes, complexity and great length! A wonderful tribute to Sonoma County fruit and Merry's exceptional talent.

Some of the professional ratings for this wine are laughable, and another reason why critics are just a point to consider, not a point to follow blindly. This is truly outstanding and world class SB. I normally enjoy these younger, but with 6 years on this, I’m reconsidering when to open next time. Wow! A complete harmonious balance of tangerine, limestone, honeydew rind, and crushed rock. Impeccable acidity that cuts through everything and highlights the fruit that remains on the finish.

Tasty and balanced but I'm not 100% sure this merits a $60 price tag.

For me about as good as SB gets. Nice grapefruit and balance with a creamy feel and hint of sweetness.

Ending the summer, I found my last bottle of Merry’s 2012 SB. I noticed a pale-yellow color and fragrant aromas of tropical, citrus fruit and melons, one of the few Sauvignon Blancs that are barrel-fermented adding a wonderful toasty oak flavor, setting this wine apart from the rest. The palate shows fresh ripe fruit flavors of peaches, apricots, melons, lemons, and pears, with the gentle earthy mineral tones, vivid acidity and a smooth well balanced round finish. What a treat!

When it comes to sauv blanc this is still the goat. I like these with a few years on them too.

A nice example of typical SB fruits and acid with a gliding, mild sweetness, and sense of fullness

Lemon, lime, peach, honey, almonds, lots going on here. A great example of this genre.
