Massive wine, midnight in color, with tons of fruit including unmistakeable waves of raisin and black cherry. Huge chocolate and mocha coffee flavor with a big tannic finish. At 15%, this wine is a challenge, but one that I'm up for.

Toasty oak and baking spices on the nose. Elegant palate brings black cherry, anise, black pepper, oak and spice. It develops a deep milk chocolate character after a few hours of air. Well balanced acidity, round structured tannins with medium body and a silky mouthfeel. Warm lasting finish with subtle vanilla mocha notes.

Definitely needs to open up. Was sweet on the first sip. Significant fruit tones at the outset and got dry as it opened. I would give it a good half hour and drink and enjoy. Solid choice.
