Michael David Winery
Earthquake Lodi Petite Sirah
Deep purple in color, almost black, with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet plums, raisins, dried figs, tobacco, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke and black pepper.
Full bodied, rich, bold and extracted with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry to off dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, mocha, espresso and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This Lodi Petite Sirah is always enjoyable. Powerful and extremely fruity.
Good right out of the bottle, and better as it opens up and shows some tannins.
A great sipping wine to have all by itself. Teeth staining color. Might be too sweet for some. Tasty and delicious.
15.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
$25.

Had another bottle of this and it remains a nice deep fruit blast with a smooth finish.
