Michael and David Phillips represent the fifth generation of growers in Lodi. A blend of 71% Syrah, 25% Petite Sirah & 4% Souzao, with aromas of berry fruits and nutty scents. On the palate blackberry and ripe plum flavors with cacao and coffee notes, fine big tannins on a nice frame. Medium finish ending with toasted nutty character.

Dar, inky blackness in this wine. Heavy overripe fruit and some blue fruit notes. Winter tastes with smoke and pine.

One of my favourite wineries. A go to for everyday wines. This seems marginally sweeter than the previous Freakshows I've had, but still brings about the robust flavours I'm used to.
