Freakshow The Strongest Man on Earth Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon
Hard to beat for a 16 dollar bottle of wine. The word "juice" comes to mind, but I've had 25 dollar bottles that weren't as good.

Tannic on the finish with some heat and a gin of oak. Overall, this wine surprised me in quality... But if labels are an accurate indicator, is does taste how you'd expect based on the visually busy label.

Feb 2nd, 2017Has been craving for wines for 3 weeks. Finally! Freak Show, big black cherry, plums, black cassis, with some sweet vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, also hints of liquorice hiding. Appealing nose for sure. Smooth tannin and easy to approach, more of sweet side mixed with black chocolate and mocha flavor. Overall, it's good and a pleaser. 14.5% alc. 2013 vintage

Aug 25th, 2016Made the mistake of drinking whiskey first. Tastes flat & dull in comparison. Earth, dark berries, cassis, & plum. Not overly bright or fruit forward. Leather, tannic, acidic finish.

Jun 7th, 20182) Much more impressed the second time around. It’s like I’m drinking an entirely different wine from the first check-in. Aroma of blackberry, currant, tar, & some smoke. Lush, stewed raspberry on the palate. Med-plus acidity. Sweater middle with a lightly tart, lingering, fruity finish.
1) Flat and flabby, especially for a Cab. Low tannin. Medium acidity. Notes of roasted raspberry & subtle leather.
