Really a super fine vintage Blanc de Blancs we started with tonight, it preceded all the crazy so-so (or corked/DOA) Chateauneuf-du-Papes I opened later, but this champagne was excellent, tiny, tiny bubbles and great complexity, our starter, which means I started great and finished nicely with the Sauternes/JJPrum Auslese, but struggled in between!!
