This is a truly enjoyable wine and a very pleasant surprise. We never had Barbera before and found this wine to be elegant and delicious. It has delicate aromas of cherry and red berries. Tannins are present but never overpowering. It also has a nice vibrant acidity that goes very nice with food. We had it with veal chops in truffle sauce and risotto with mushrooms, peas and cheese.
