No formal notes , just impressions this evening . This is a bit more intense and fruit driven on the nose , dark cherry, red plums with some of the spice, pine and liquorice notes . In the mouth more tannic , also intense and quite powerful. Very different in style to the Il Campitello , more rustic perhaps , reminds me of the CC in that regard, and will need more time than the others . Gritty tannins and fresh acidity but good intensity and decent length . Doesn’t have the elegance of the Il Campitello , but is more powerful and will probably be longer lived . Needs another 5 years , will last well a further 15 .
