Vintage 1994 | Tasted blind. After unwrapping I saw this wine stood next to a Montlouis Moelleux from Chidaine. A unique opportunity to compare. Poured in the glass it looked syrupy, so a bit more fat from Coteaux du Layon compared with the Montlouis elegance. In smell: flowers, almonds and nougat. Beautiful concentration and a little miracle to see such a vivid colour after 29 years. A Chenin Blanc icon.

Love this #1994 #MoulinTouchais #CoteauxDuLayon #CheninBlanc Beautiful Floral & Citrus Nose... Strong acidity balances out all of the other components of this wine... Lightly sweet, great Minerality, lemon, white flowers, bruised Green Apple... Paired beautifully with my Roquefort & Black Truffle Mie Feuille with Market Figs dessert at #GabrielKreuther #Nyc ❤️🍴🍷 👏👏👏

Sweet, raisiny with a plum skin tart flavor in there. Home permanent on the nose (even if my husband laughs at me). A great dessert wine.

Straw colour, nice age, good balance. Still a lot of sweetness. Will age forever.

Woof. Amazingly long finish. Rich and layered and perfect with sweet corn dessert.
