Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

First wine from Nautilus Estate of Marlborough was released in 1985. Aromas of tropical fruits and herb floral spice. On the palate melon and peach flavors with citrus notes, vivid acidity, nicely balanced on medium finish.

Lots of grapefruit! Green grass, jalepeno, lemon, gooseberry, pineapple. Lime and pear. M+ acid. M- body. Bitter. Long finish. Too tart.

Citrus, clean, crisp, lightly sweet

This was a mild sav blanc. No one taste was overpowering. Smooth.

Very aromatic. High acid. Slightly fleshy mouth feel.

Smells very fruity, like pears, green apples, or like quince?? Charles says kind of funky. Very rounded texture, smooth, teeny zesty bubbles at first sip, but it morphs to a strong fruity presence, and ends on a slightly funky note. Not super refreshing, because funkiness, but still great!

Nice bargain Sauvignon Blanc, very lemon in flavor. Nicely balanced and no grassiness.

Clean, crisp with a beautiful nose. Stone fruit/apricot scent

It's...well, it's NZ Sauv Blanc. I knew what I was getting into. Lots of ripe pit fruit, citrus and botanicals.
