Upping my score cos I took another look on day 2. It gained a little more weight, and showed a little more urgency on the palate. Nice mature raspberries and coffee notes, and a sweet finish.

Round and a touch flabby. Not very interesting to be honest. That being said, it’s a decent enough wine and fun to drink for the occasion.

A Merlot for a Cab drinker. Loaded with a cherry/plum flavor and a silky tannin. Everything complemented with oak. Highly fruit forward. Perfect companion for roasted meats. If you want to taste Napa Valley Merlot and you have the money, go for it.
