On the nose, perfumed purple florals, lavender, jammy blueberries, olallieberries, black licorice, soft spice and rich dark soils. On the palate; ripe, jammy fruits of; blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, blueberries, olallieberries, hard gritty minerals, dry stone, leather, underbrush, poached strawberries come on late, lavender, liquid violets, dark chocolate powder, vanilla, & caramel. Finishes well with; round, ripe, fruits and good acidity. Barrel tasted the 2016 vintage at the Nickel & Nickel Entrecôte. Beautiful blue fruit dominates here. Cedar oak, vanilla, licorice. Really drinking nice with smooth tannins.
