New grape for me. Never even heard of it. Really enjoyed this wine. Kind of jammy on the nose but then savory and great energy on the palate.

Wild strawberries, pomegranate juice, rose water, clove, blood orange rind. Soft rounded acidity/minimal smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, silky texture, long fruity, smoky, earthy finish. Highly aromatic, delicate, elegant with a touch of rusticity.

So fresh. I could drink lots of this. Kinda like a pinot. Layers of red fruit, rose petals, tea, pepper, and some earthiness on the nose. Remarkable length and acid. Happy to have tried this.
Notes: Olek Bondonio. Obscure variety from one of the great crus of Barbaresco. Four rows of Pelaverga planted in the 1980's, in the Roncagliette vineyard.
