Well, welcome to another Friday and tonight I have opened this Petite Sirah from the Opolo Vineyards of Paso Robles. I tend to enjoy the Petite Sirah when it is done well. The nose is expressing itself to me with notes of Black plum, grape jam, licorice, sweet oak and camp fire smoke. On the palate I am receiving blackberry, black plum, licorice and black pepper. There is more oak then I like, lots of big chewy tannins, a med + acidity, and a good long finish. I purchased this for around $24.99 at my store of choice.
