This one starts off with some funky mushroom both on the nose and on the very front with a ton of acidity. This blew off after 10-15 minutes or so, and became a nice bouquet of chocolate covered red cherries and mocha after the mushroom blew off. The entry is more chocolate and a darker berry. Fig and still a hint of mushroom on the middle. Definitely a ripe wine. The finish was acidic, more tame after an hour, dark chocolate and a hint of stiff oak tannin. A very interesting wine!

Great full-bodied wine with dark cherry notes. I can definitely pick up the oak from the aging barrels.

Light and fruity (the way Sangiovese should be) but also featuring a nice line of minerality and earth. Opolo lives off of their Zin, and you can taste a bit of that in this wine.
