Not often we have this. As @Carl Fischer suggested, its style straddles Napa and Bordeaux. Soft oak and maraschino cherries on the nose. The palate is nuanced, delineated and textured. Subtle blueberries mix with a hint of roasted coffee beans. A beautiful example that was elbowed out of the limelight by other great wines. Thank you @Carl Fischer for sharing this beauty.

Dark ruby red with lighter edges. Dark nose with layers of cocoa, a bit dirty, earthy and dark berries. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Elegant palate with tons of dark notes. Layers of black cherries, cassis, dark earth and tobacco leaves. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2022.

2002, has the gravitas of some age. Elegant dark fruit, stone, mature tannins. New World meets Old.

Your daily dose of unpopular opinions:
A little fruit, a lot of oak. Unbalanced and mediocre, which says a lot for one of the best vintages in the past 30 years.

Color is a tawny garnet with some decent bricking. Nose - subtle aromas of dark fruit and stewed meat. Scents of perfume cassis, black olives in balsamic vinegar and sandalwood follow. Taste - definitely brings this wine to a another level. Palate fills with black cherry cassis, tobacco spice and dark cocoa with smooth satiny tannins. A creamy luscious feel and well balanced adding to its long finish that lingers. A nice way to relax on a early Saturday evening.

Decant for sediment(some chunky/fine sediment). A breathtaking tawny garnet color with some bricking. On the nose: old leather, wood spice, subtle baked plum, olives packed in balsamic, floral, and dirt. Taste: creamy, elegant, smooth satiny tannin medium body wine with black cherry, spice, cassis, tobacco, and an earthy cocoa long lingering finish. An extraordinary 20 year old Cali cab! YUM!

Great nose and fruit. Aftertaste was a little flat but opened up in the glass
