Rust color on this one threw me during a blind, though is a result of aging. Smells of slightly jammy cherries and raspberries, with a touch of smoke/leather. Tannins are much lower than the nebbiolo I thought it was(mod-) with mod acidity and a decently lenghty aftertaste. That leathery flavor comes through on the pallatte with a pretty dark profile. Fruit is also moderate and overall flavor profile is more simple than expected. Nice to finally try a noir with some age.

It's not huge and overly flavorful, but still has great finish, rich first aromas. Let it breathe and it will open up very nicely.
