A very dark purple rim, with an almost black center. Lovely aroma of blackberry compote accompanied with dark chocolate, clay pot, and violets. The acidity is a bit more than medium and the tannins are nicely sharp but not too serious. A metallic finish with medium length. The more I sip it, the more I like it!
