This seemed very closed and tannic when 1st opened. So I put the btl back in the cellar and re tasted 2 days later. What a difference a few days make! This really opened up showing dried cherry fruits, sandalwood, balsamic, leather and rose petals.

Meaty, red fruity, tannic, wonderful.
