This one presented much more ”put together.” Deep dark red color. Lots of sediment. Black cherries, and a bit of anise. Decanted for one hour. Medium body. I do not think this will improve with more time.

Oct 28th, 2019Really mild, but nice red blend. Doesn't have the flavor that I look for from big red, but very nice.

Sep 23rd, 201768% Merlot, 24% Cab Franc, 8% Cab Sauv in 40% new French Oak. This wine is a stunner. On the nose, there's cherry, blackberry, spice, and damp earth. I get more cherry on the palate as well as some earthy notes, plum, cocoa and a wonderful minerality. When served just at or below cellar temperatures this wine has a silky smooth finish that I don't want to stop.
There's an excellent story behind this wine. It was originally served to Thomas Keller of the French Laundry who liked it so much that he asked the winery to make a 100% Cabernet Franc alternative to be offered at his restaurant by the glass. Naturally Palazzo agreed, and I'm told the Cab Franc is equally if not more impressive.

This is a cab franc heavy blend. The green bell pepper and asparagus jumped out of the glass. A huge wine that would go great with a steak. Would also probably benefit from a few years in the cellar.
