I’m probably over generous on the rating because this was so much better than I expected.

Barbeque wine, currant, dried fruit

Found this in the cellar. Was a bit worried it would be turned but it is delightful delicious. So much alcohol. Had a chewy, late harvest-esque quality. Nice oak and leather intertwined with the ripe, dark cherry and plum fruit forwardness. Absolutely fabulous!!

Bold, rich, fruit, soft tannins. Had at Christian's baptism. Food was prime rib.

8 years is about how long this wine can hold on, really good! Had 2006 but it turned. Classic blend for one of the first true zin based ones.

Little too much residual sugar to be "great" but a really nice bbq wine match w smoked ribs.
