It has a medium ruby hue with secondary garnet and notable tearing.
It has medium(+) aromatic intensity. The aromas are developing, showing some evidence of bottle age. Aromas include notes of black cherry, plum, cranberry, violet, dried oregano, fennel, clove, nutmeg, tobacco, leather, and cured meat.
On the palate it is dry, has medium(+) acidity, medium body, high alcohol, medium tannins, medium(+) intensity of flavors consistent with the nose. The finish lingers.
