Aged for 14 months in 50% new French oak, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with notes of smoke and fresh oven biscuits. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and pear, lime citrus with notes of smoke and cedar, well integrated, balanced acidity, long rich finish, ending with fruit and delicate yeasty notes. Very nice. Small quantities made.

I think Paul Lato at times is a little heavy-handed with his oak regime so I was pleasantly surprised by this.
A great wine that has plenty of acidity to balance the wood and still allows the varietal to shine.
