2 years back this wasn’t even worth a post. Quite simple, angular. Now, with a bit of air, fresh and vibrant, almost silky and with a certain clarity of bing cherry, ripe strawberry. Tea. Nice.

My wife cellar is hell on burgundy bottle labels. But didn’t stop this Penner Ash from shining

Nice, dark flavors. Heavy for region and bottling. A PN for steak and better than its California counterparts who make wines of this style.

Medium garnet color and light purple rim. Medium to light acidity and enough tanin to fill out the mouthfeel. Flavors are more dark stone fruit than berry, and a little hard for me to distinguish. I am enjoying the very nice finish that’s got some staying power. Darn, the flavors, what the heck is it? It’s more nuanced than explosive. I’d be interested to hear of anyone else has a thought on this wine. I like it. Cheers? Edit: @Sipping Fine Wine had it bang on - Strawberry! Yes, stewed strawberry all the way. Strawberry jam. Yum.

Drank this 2016 in Apr 2020 while shuttered for COVID-19. Great taste with tart but tasty dark cherry, bit of chocolate and mild coffee. Had with brisket and Passover meal! Can recommend without a pause. Will replace.
