'La Carrière' Knights Valley Chardonnay

Loved this wine for years
Surprised me with how nuanced it was so young.
More delicate than others years of La Carriere
Keep it to sipping occasions or with simple food, might otherwise get swamped

Back on track!! Solid wine well balanced. Honey, orange taffy and balanced oak.

Honeysuckle and tangerine on the nose. Vanilla and pineapple with a creamy mid plate with medium plus acidity. Back on track.

Too young to open but had to try one. Love mountain Chardonnay!

Wasn’t sure about this on open, but a little air and this exploded. White flower and almond aromas. Lush almond, vanilla and caramel. Long, sexy finish!

A very nice bottle of wine. I would say this one is drinking the way it was intended to drink. Ready to go. Full throttle for a Chardonnay. Nose of dried herbs, kettle corn, youthful fruit, minerals. Entry a lot of peach, guava, popcorn kernel. Lots of stone ground fruit, dried herbs, dense. Powerful. I don't think this one could drink any better than it is now. Opened to thank a friend for serving an excellent lineup of Peter Michael and Colgin four days before! This one is at the top of the hill right now.

The most mineral driven of the wines from their estate I find. Still tropical with hints of brioche but a good dose of wet stones and chalk.

Awesome , rich, exacting, persistent , I love this time of year
