La Rocca Soave Garganega

Pieropan is recognised by most as the greatest producer in Soave. The La Rocca vineyard is planted only with Garganega whereas some of the other Pieropan cuvees have a % of Trebbiano in the blend. Floral nutty aromas. An opulent medium plus bodied palate. More dense and concentrated than the standard Pieropan Soave, showing some oak influence. A delicious Italian White which is drinking well now and will go on in good form for a few more Years. Could mistake this for a Chardonnay if tasted blind.

Pretty wine and delicious. Green almond, hazelnut and white peach.

Papaya, toasted bread.

Slight reduction of green onion. Red apple, lemon, chalky, slight tropical a, ginger, cinnamon.
Yellow apple, pear, white pepper and sharp cheddar cheese.

Pineapple 🍍 and lychee. Weighty and pure. Mouthwatering finish.

At once refreshing and rich. This is one of my go to producers for delicious, reasonably priced whites.

A gorgeous golden hue. Bright pear fruit. Lots of flavor.

Beautiful golden hue. Ripe pear, lychee, Meyer lemon, crisp green apple, slight grass and a long finish for a lighter summer wine.
