Succulent red coming from decomposing "brune et blonde" schists terraces down in the Malleval, Ampuis district. Being subject to total destemming, cold maceration and microoxigenation -among other heresies-, this one seemed like a recipe for disaster. But the artistry of Gaillard and the impeccable terroir deliver a refined yet fleshy Côte-Rôtie. Don't expect a Guigal-style, 100+ points, behemoth. Très surpris , j ai trouvé ça excellent !
On est pas dans la tension , mais y a un beau volume , de belles notes fumées , lardées, un beau fruit . C est posé et ça a fait un tabac avec le waygu !

So much yum!
