May 12th, 2019Admittedly trying to recreate that Caroline Morey magic buying this PYCM bottle. Similar house style, acid driven and full of energy, lush fruit and flowers. Texture here is a bit fluffier and creamier and there isn’t as much energy and concentration as the 1er cru. But for a H-CdB this is totally great. Cheers to Alex and Rita and their delicious langoustine pasta.

On the nose: bruised apple, medicinal.herbs, a fair amount of va, and then loads of slate...this btl has blown off the struck match reduction. On the palate: very good acidity, hi-toned lemon and soft lemon oil. Finishes quickly. Ok.

Lovely “white burgundy” that I said tasted like a Chardonnay and Stel said tastes like sav blanc. Well it is chardonnay so maybe I should take that level 1 sommelier test that I said I was going to take but didn’t because I had a baby instead (excuses excuses, Lol). Really nice clean & crisp not very oakey, drinkable. Purchased from Cucina Urbana & would drink again.

Great introduction to the PYCM style, reductive and flinty, citrus, tart. A bit thin, but I’ll probably buy another bottle and bury it for a few years to see where it goes

Took a while to open up then very good as always with the king. So so so much acid. Some ppl posting on cellartracker saying this is on the way out must have bad cellars. Value up to $50, prob not current price though
