Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey
La Pucelle Saint-Aubin Chardonnay
Bright, creamy, precise. The so2 isn't noticeable so that's a welcome change. The bottle shape and 2.25" cork however... anyway, this was as lovely and full-flavored a bottle of St Aubin as I've known. Looks like the warm year did that village well.

Aug 13th, 2017Matchstick, flint, citrus, pineapple, cream, white pepper. Full and lush with nice balancing acidity. Wasn't expecting the richness of texture and the ripe fruit character but thoroughly enjoying it. Shows nuance and layers alongside a more-hedonistic-than-expected profile

Jul 13th, 2017Not quite the laser precision I had remembered from this producer but this was a great palate cleanser to wrap up the night with.

Aug 3rd, 2018Very well balanced for me. Frank at Jardiniere, paired best with bread and butter which is simple but stellar. Oak rounds itnout well without too much assertion. Very pleasant

Nov 18th, 2017Very tight and not showing much on day one, despite a lengthy decant. Not even showing much acid or structure...until day two, when intense minerals, superb acidity, and a sense of tightly coiled fruit and dry extract comes through. Promising and surprising from such a warm vintage.
