Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese

@Chris MacLean description is perfect.

Not my favorite version of this grape. Light, tart and a little bitter on finish.

Pale tawny. Cherry, cranberry, bramble, sour cherry, minerality, and spice. M acid, M+ tannin, m- body, M+ intensity. Long finish. I'm a huge fan of Mt Etna wines.

Low tannins, high acid. Very dry, red fruit showing on palate.

A less wound up version than many I've had. Doesn't need years to unwind.

Light red fruit and blood orange. Weight similar to Pinot.

Varietally correct and balanced.

Take me to Sicily

Odd to use a French word to describe a Sicilian wine, but only "aérien" will do. Impressive lightness & elegance for Nerello Mascalese. Blackberries, black plums, slate.
