Pine Ridge Vineyards
Dijon Clones Carneros Chardonnay
Lively fruit, nice minerality. Mostly I was shocked I didn't hate it.

Oct 25th, 2016Dark golden straw color. Initial flavors of lemon and pear tart transition to lime and orange peel. Medium-bodied and there's a sense of creaminess throughout the long, crisp finish.
The Pine Ridge winery is terrific. And I'm in love with Pine Ridge reds -- especially the Fortis, which is one of those special wines. Sadly, this chard falls short. Good, but not great. I really expected more given the reds they crank out. The Chenin Blanc-Viognier is half the price and terrific. Buy that instead.
