This is really starting to show its stuff. Wonderfully expressive floral nose. Primary fruit bursting out of the glass after a two hour decant. Leather, cherries, creosote, mint, blood orange. Taught acidity and firm tannins following an almost creamy mouthfeel. Very classic sensibility to this vintage, but with a subtle imprimatur of French oak. I absolutely love great Barbaresco during the 8-10 year stage, and this one is no exception. Class and elegance abound. Lovely wine that I’ll be sure to revisit.

Showing tertiary notes already. The nose is more expressive than the Barolo. Still very tight though. Great potential.

Nice age on this. It opens with a sour but ripe cherry nose with vanilla and other unidentified spice notes. Medium bodied. Finish is a tad too tannic for my buds but well within wine's design.
