An interesting wine. I have limited experience with 30+ year old Barolos. This one showed that age more than my others. Menthol, balsamic and raisiny. But those were all background or secondary notes with the mature fruit and heft this mature wine had. I decanted and consumed over 4 hours. It opened up after 3 hours and was a more rounded experience. Fantastic aged Barolo color too - the pale orangy combined with a unique deep red. Beautiful.
