Poggio Antico
Altero Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, Italy
This wine stood out because it is the first of the 2010 vintage I’ve tried that was less satisfying. Nose has less fruit and more complex aromas and is elegant, round, and perfumed; taste is unexceptional and the wine has a poor structure with low acids and coarse tannins, although the finish is quite long. I expected more. 7000 bottles produced in old French barriques.

Jul 18th, 2019Аромат сдержаный, легкий тост, чуть джемовый, теплый. Вкус полный, элегантные танины, отличная кислотность. 16.5/20 (92/100)

Questionable cork. So sad. Can't rate.

Oct 4th, 2015Really solid Brunello. Mid-heavy weight. Little fruit, not overbearing.
