Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
'05 At its prime, lovely sour cherry, leather, balsamic, warm spices, tobacco, very long finish.

May 14th, 2014Simple, straightforward Brunello. A little earth, a little structure. Lots of red and black cherry. An enjoyable drink-now Brunello, but there are Morellino di Scansanos out there that deliver a similar profile with a lot more bang for the buck. However, if you've gotta have something that says Brunello, then this is about as good as any intro-priced bottling I've had.
