Post Parade Wines
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Extremely powerful Cabernet. Thomas rivers brown has done wonderfully with this effort. Some from tench in oakville gives it a nice woody smokey palate with that great deep blackberry with a not too dark extraction. Very nice.

Cherry pie, sweet vanilla but no American wood - 90% new French oak for 14 months. New world flavors are well integrated with an underlying European sensibility: minerality, plush and smooth tannins, integrated alcohol with an elegant finish. Gorgeously satisfying with a full range of dishes: from abalone to pork to cinnamon beignets!

Oct 25th, 20142012 Vintage. 14.7% Alcohol. Now in a a great sweet spot. Best cab we’ve had in a while. Great fruit and smooth tannins for a velvet mouthfeel and long finish.

May 30th, 20212012 Vintage. A bit off the pace from the last two bottles, this bottle was from auction so provenance may be a factor or it is in a dumb stage and needs more aging. Best after 2 days argon gassed so I’m going with the latter.
