Powers
Columbia Valley Syrah
Outstanding! Love this. This is without a doubt the best Syrah I have had from Washington state. Black fruits, cottonwood, smells a bit like BlackBerry pie and dried earth and raisenettes...some gamey meat like qualities too, like venison. Cherry and dust, sawdust. On the palate flat black, with juicy heat and smokey spice. Very dry finish.

Hint of WA sagebrush. Flavors are nice. Acids and bright berry fruits come through. Plenty of tannin. Bit of licorice and the bitterness in apple skins. Not dramatic, but tasty with some true to Syrah flavors. Certainly a nice choice for the low cost WA Syrah.
