What a funky nose… but I’ve learned to not judge a Zin by its nose, and this is no different! Velvety quality on the palate with dark fruits (blackberry & plum). Great wine for the price point!

It's a no for me, dog. This is a big ol' vanilla bomb. The wood influence is overpowering. I'd guess they used ex-bourbon barrels to age it. Lots of vanilla, butterscotch, chocolate, and smoke on the nose. Also bubblegum and sweet jammy berries. This is not how wine should taste. They're taking their queues too much from a whiskey distiller. Medium-minus tannins. Medium-plus acid. There's a lingering spice and black cherry reduction note on the palate. Overall, not for me.

Powerful and superbly mature big fruit Californian Zinfandel. Establishes itself right out the gate with a peppery bouquet and transitions into a wood/ripe red fruit ride through the greatness of Californian wine at its best. Sharp finish leaves you wanting more. Buy 2 bottles at a time!
