Everything you wished for in a great 2016 Barbaresco. Anise seed, dark cherry, and perhaps surprisingly, a smidge of savory hay. Overall, at 3.5 hours, this 2016 is finally opening up. Tasted 2016 Montefico in Dec-2022.

Black licorice, cherry, garrigue. Elegant tannins with long finish. Delicious and wish I had more. Perfect with smoked pork pappardelle.
