R. López de Heredia
Viña Gravonia Crianza Rioja Viura

Petrol, smoke, viscosity and length. Pre White Burg and old CA tasting outlier.

Big mouthfeel, lactic and creamy with peach notes and some spice with a buttery and mushroom finish. Goes great with pasta and cream sauce. Not a casual light hearted wine however.

Another R. Lopez gem that has been aged for 11 years. Slight oxidation on the color, however the aromatics and taste were lovely. Dried orange fruit (apricot and mango), heavy white floral with a hint of butterscotch. I want a few bottles for my collection

Always a delight but for some reason tasted a bit disjointed & less potent than in past. Paired with a smoked fish & chorizo stew, tomato based(yum)Still, Love that waxy, marcona almond thang. Perhaps a better pairing would be a Lopez rose, but we have to wait for its return
