Big old world fruit bomb! Actually a Monastrell/Syrah 50/50 Blend. Loads of intense red and black fruit with elements of vanilla and toffee. Aged in bourbon barrels. Long finish. I actually served this one as a dessert wine because of the BIG fruit. Thanks for this bottle, Bud.

Mar 30th, 2017Not your typical Spanish wine: Spanish Syrah aged in ex-Bourbon barrel (Pappy van Winkle to be exact). Notes of blueberry, dark cherry, brown sugar with hints of smoke and herbal notes. Full bodied but very smooth on the palate.
