Ramey sure knows how to make a Napa Cab from one of my favorite regions in the valley. Rich fruit and firm tannins which does not overwhelm the palette allowing perfect food and wine pairing. Thank you Armen for sharing!

I thought this was nice but I have to be honest it is priced quite high at $175. It's hard to overlook the price tag for this wine. Can't take away anything from it but I enjoyed their lower priced wines even more so.

A scent of green peppers and leather leads to a pallet of bramble, light tobacco, and vegetable. Moderate tannin. Paired well with veal. Definitely one to try if you have the chance.

Packed full of almost everything on nose. Loads of rich fruit but also a touch of earthy, savoury, meatiness underneath. Black currant. Mint. Lots of tannin at the moment, big black monster on the palate. Does have acidity though with it. Right now the worlds best steak wine, sure will be absolutely stunning in 4 years.

"As usual, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is a fabulous effort...The 2010 boasts beautiful notes of fruitcake, espresso roast, chocolate and black currants in its complex, full-bodied, concentrated, multi-dimensional personality..."
- Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate,
#210, December 2013

Aging on fine lees incorporates the oak so that the two years or more that the Pedregal spends in 100% new French barrels is barely noticeable. As with all of our wines, it goes through native yeast and malolactic fermentations with monthly bâtonnage to develop depth and roundness on the palette. This wine combines the harmony produced by traditional Bordelaise winemaking techniques with the voluptuousness of Napa Valley terroir. It is lightly fined with egg whites for greater suppleness and bottled without filtration.
