Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

My wife to the left, David’s wife to the right. This is drum tight. 11 years in. Superb. Abreu pips this, but still excellent.

Excellent, dark, super grippy. Bright on the finish. Leather.

So balanced and delicious. A little pre Steely Dan get your buzz on. This was 👌🏽 with braised short ribs.

10' Realm Beckstoffer To-Kalon. Throwing a ton of sediment. This wine truly comes into shape after a nice decanting. Full-bodied. Nose is a little tight. The palate is full of blackberry, red licorice, spices, & earthiness to it. A good 30 second finish. When people try this wine in 3/5 years they'll be amazed. Thinking RP in the 10 year revisit NAPA issue will give this 95-97 points.

Absolutely fantastic. This is classic high-end Napa cabernet through and through. Took a few minutes to open up, but then the wine was just gushing with rich blue fruits, currants, and maybe a hint of camphor on the nose. The palate is rich and expressive with layers of fruit, a distinct note of dark chocolate -totally reminds me of the Beckstoffers from Paul Hobbs. Lingering finish. This has the stuffing to evolve for many more years...but why wait?

Was surprised. Lots of tertiary flavors yet after decanting, it still seemed tight.
